Common Room Annexe – Create new Head of Years Office

 

Hill - Internal refurbishment including forming of ground floor rooms and ablutions, new furniture, partitions, doors forming a new social area.

 

Benson - Installed new  addressable fire detection  system, raise partitions, install new doors and redecorated where necessary.  Formed new opening into dining room and refurbished.

Anglesey - Refurbish and converted toilets and showers.  Form new bedroom in private accommodation.  Converted  two rooms to boarding and final  ingoing services  to girls house. 

 

Beresford - Covert day boy room to double boarding room and covert single boarding room to single boarding and Single day boy room.

Wellesley  -  Add extra Pupil spaces on ground floor and additional lockers.  Added extra pupils spaces on 1st Floor.

 

Theatre - Replace Theatre seating and carpets,  redecoration, extend and refurbish Theatre Foyer Area.

Introduce sliding folding doors.

 

House Moves  - Planned and coordinated 72 Common Room house moves both on and off College.

 

Combermere - External painting and minor internal decoration.

 

Sports Club - Squash Courts, New ceilings, lighting and heating upgrade and two new floors.

 

Sports Hall  - Provide three additional escape doors  and roller shutter.

Medical Centre & Apsley - Create five extra boarding rooms, refurbish 1st floor medical rooms.

Create one isolation room.

 

Hopetoun -  Improvements to House kitchen and atrium decoration.

 

Window Replacements to Staff Housing.

 

10 other minor works schemes from roofing, stonework.

Library -  Formed temporary Library in Old Hall, Library and Selangor Court project started.

Completion Selangor Court end of February, Library end of March 2012.

Works Projects completed 2007 – 2008 

Combermere - Girls Boarding House which was delivered on time and budget.  A major transformation from two boys houses to one girl which has been well received.

White Cairn - Boys Day House, following a major extension adding 50% to the floor area the building was opened on time and budget ready for Sept 2007.

Wellesley - introduced a Girls Day House in to the East Block (Formally Beresford) as the first intake.

Hopetoun - Created year one girls secure facility which in practice has worked very well.

QCA (Queens Court Annex) - completed the construction of 12 x 50m2 classrooms plus supporting facilities on time and budget.

IB Suite - In support of IB the ground floor of the East Block was formed with offices and seminar room.

Kitchen Servery – During the summer of 2007 the Servery was remodelled into a free  flow system.

General - We also delivered a range of other projects such as managing 63 staff  housing moves, office moves and other facilities such as the Road and Building Lighting scheme water main repairs, Electrical and Fire Detection and Safety Measures.
