The World

This strand concerns the idea of our relationship to the outside world and considers it from two perspectives: the impact of the modern world on us and the impact of our lifestyles on the world. The main concern is to consider the idea of living a sustainable life. A lot of the work that we do in Well-being focuses on the thriving and flourishing of the individual through sustaining physical, mental and social health, but to really thrive and flourish, we must spend time reflecting on our relationship with the wider world, not forgetting that this relationship is reciprocal. There are 5 lessons in this strand:

1. Consumption.

2. Media awareness.

3. Using technology skilfully.

4. The natural world.

5. Making a positive difference to the world.
