Parents' Well-being taster sessions.
In the Michaelmas Term of 2010, we embarked upon an ambitious project to bring our well-being classes to a wider audience. Through the WCA, we organised a series of well-being taster lessons for parents of our students. The first (and second) courses were tremendously successful and Michaelmas Term 2011 sees the third round.
Over the course of 7 evenings, participating parents will experience well-being classes almost exactly as their children would and will cover a selection of the topics that their children will be taught during the course of the 3 year well-being programme. Topics are as follows:
- Resilience: Thinking Traps and ABC.
- Resilience: Challenging Beliefs and Putting it in Perspective.
- Mindset.
- Emotions.
- Active Constructive Responding.
- Strengths.
- Executive function and Mindfulness practice.
The dates for the next round of sessions are as follows:
Sunday 2nd October (7.15pm)
Sunday 9th October (7.15pm)
