Visiting Philosopher
This year, Wellington continues to host a visiting philosopher, with Peter Worley taking over from Julian Baggini. Peter will work with students in lesson time and also will be giving lectures to the whole school.
Peter Worley is CEO of The Philosophy Shop, a charity that aims to bring philosophy to a wider audience. Peter read philosophy at University College London and Birkbeck College and is currently studying for a PhD at Kings College London.
He is author of ‘The If Machine: Philosophical Enquiry in the Classroom’ and the forthcoming ‘If Odyssey’.
Peter regularly gives talks and presentations about philosophy in schools and his Philosophical Enquiry method at high-level national and international conferences. He has been published in a variety of magazines and philosophical journals and has been interviewed on Nightwaves and the Today programme.
Contact Guy Williams (GJW) or Nic Amy (NJA) with any questions. Peter's regular visits will appear in the College calendar.
