Revision Strategy

Here is the PR department's menu for success (in order of what you need to do):

1.       Read the specification.

2.       Organise folder.

3.       Identify topics that require work (content).

4.       Identify techniques that require work (expressing knowledge, evaluation, planning, structure etc.).

5.       Gather model essays and extract good sentences/paragraphs.

6.       Mark model essays.

7.       Mind-mapping/diagramming a topic.

8.       Prepare ‘portable paragraphs’ for each topic (including content and evaluation paragraphs).

9.       Write conclusions/plan an argument (A Level AO2, IB criterion D).

10.   Collate past papers and write responses to them.

11.   Practise writing under timed conditions (and have essays marked).

12.   Mark your own and other peoples’ work.
