Users of BT Yahoo! (addresses ending in @btinternet.com) may have difficulty receiving email from Wellington College.This is because BT has recently changed their policy in regard to ‘SPAM’ or ‘Junk Email’. The new policy classifies any email with 20 or more recipients as SPAM and places the sender on a ‘blacklist’ which automatically blocks any future emails from that address.

The blocked messages are still accessible, but only through the BT Internet webmail service. The following instructions explain how blocked emails can be accessed and their senders marked as ‘safe’.

 


Log in to BT Yahoo! Mail with you BT Internet login details:

https://bt.yahoo.com/

Click on Spam on the left hand side of the screen to display blocked messages:

Select a message to unblock

BT Yahoo Mail spam trusted message

and click Not Spam at the top of the screen:

 The message will now be moved to your inbox.

 


To prevent future message from Wellington College from being blocked, click on Options at the top of the screen and click Mail Options

Select Filters on the left hand side of the screen

Click on Add Filter

Enter the following information into the [New Filter] form:

Filter name: Wellington
Sender: [contains] @wellingtoncollege.org.uk
Move to Folder: Inbox

Click Save Changes

Click the small cross on the options tab to return to your mail.
