Lent Term 2012
Forth form GCSE pupils will complete a web design based project this term.
Pupils will learn about web layout, colour schemes, selection of relevant materials/resources and the importance of copyright. Pupils will also be encouraged to think how to use the internet to research a topic in comparison to other e-learning, e-publishing materials.
Pupils will complete the Plan and Create stage of their project based on The Design Museum.
Fifth Form GCSE
Pupils will learn about web based software and the use of such software in relevant areas of their education. Pupils will look at social media and how it is now used in the business world - this will enable pupils to see how technology is changing the way business operations take place and prepares them to think about how this could be used in their own education.
Pupils will complete the Create and the Evaluation section of their project based on The Look Out.
Pupils are going to learn about web design and will create a practical project on web site.
Pupils will complete a project based on the Design Cycle. This term pupils create a website on a topic of their choice learning about the importance of: Planning, Research, Audience and Design.

Forth form GCSE pupils will complete work within the Scheme linked above.
They will also incorporate this with the theme of Presentations. ICT is important in providing tools for presentations in and out of school. Pupils will learn about software that will support and enhance their presentations. Examples include: Powerpoint, Prezi, Pages, iMovie (when possible).
Forth Form MYP
Pupils will complete the Investigate stage of their project based on The Design Museum.
Fifth Form GCSE
Pupils will complete work within the area of presentations.
They will also incorporate this with the theme of Presentations. ICT is important in providing tools for presentations in and out of school. Pupils will learn about software that will support and enhance their presentations. Examples include: Powerpoint, Prezi, Pages, iMovie (when possible).
This unit will also include looking at different file formats and knowing where and when to use the most appropriate. The importance of back ups and cloud computing will also be introduced.
Fifth form MYP
Pupils will complete the Investigate stage of their project based on The Look Out.
Third form MYP
Pupils will be introduced to the ICT systems and applications at Wellington.
Pupils will complete a project based on the Design Cycle. This term pupils create an interactive quiz on a topic of their choice learning about the importance of: Planning, Research and Presentation.
ICT
This information is for older pupils: 5th form and above who are completing the IAM course.
