Gerald Micklem Trophy

2008 - Wellington won for the 5th time in 8 years.  After winning both previous rounds 5-0, a final of astonishing quality saw Wellington beat Bradfield 3-2.  Bradfield were the holders, and had the same team as last year, with their number 5 player off a handicap of 4.  In all of the matches, a score or par or better was needed to win.  Sometimes in the Micklem, the top 2 matches might be of that standard, but never in memory have all five matches been so good.

Ed Reyes lost 4&3

Jordan Mann won 1 up

Sam Williams lost 3&2

Murray Rose won 3&2

Freddie Edmunds won 5&4

2009 - Wellington won again!  A hard fought first round against Bradfield (3.5-1.5) seemed to get all players in the right frame of mind, and both the semi and final were 5-0 wins.  Special mention should be made of Jordan Mann, who won his semi final and final matches against players who were selected for the Swifts Tour, with rough scores of 4 under and 5 under par respectively.

Team:

Jordan Mann, Freddie Edmunds (c), Murray Rose, Sam Williams, Oliver Fowler, Robby Wibbels.

2010 - Wellington beat Harrow 5-0 in the final, after comfortable victories in the preceding rounds.

Team:

Jordan Mann (c), Murray Rose, Sam Williams, Cameron Farmer, Charlie Coleman, Maxime Saxena
