Villarreal Tour 2011
On the 4th of January 2011, Wellington College embarked on their first ever Football Tour. Thirty boys from the 5th and 6th form travelled to Villarreal, Spain where they benefited from the facilities, coaching and warm hospitality of FC Villarreal. During the four night stay, they played four competitive games as well as watching Villarreal beat their local rivals Valencia in the Copa del Rey. All in all, 37 goals were scored in what were five days of exhilarating Football played in idyllic conditions. Coaches, teachers and players alike considered it a fantastic success and plans are already afoot for 2012. Watch this space!
