The DofE Award celebrates what you do outside of the classroom, develops your ability to make decisions and is designed to stretch your comfort zone. You will develop an understanding of yourself, others and the environment through four activity sections:

Expedition, Physical, Skills, Volunteering and at Gold level there is the Residential.

The Award is set at three levels:
Bronze done in 4th Form, Silver done in 5th Form and Gold done over the 6th Form.

At all levels the Award requires commitment, over 18 months at Gold level; however, it is none the less rewarding, develops your multiple aptitudes and is highly regarded by universities and employers.

Yes but it does mean you have to do certain activities for a longer duration.
