DofE an introduction

The DofE Award celebrates what you do outside of the classroom, develops your ability to make decisions and is designed to stretch your comfort zone. It is rewarding, develops your multiple aptitudes and is highly regarded by universities and employers. At all levels the Award requires commitment, over 18 months at Gold level and you can jump directly into any of the following levels (although, there are benefits of going all the way through).

Bronze in 4th Form, Fast track Bronze & Silver in 4th Form, Silver in 5th Form, Gold done over the 6th Form

You will develop an understanding of yourself, others and the environment through four activity sections: Expedition, Physical, Skills, Volunteering and at Gold level there is the Residential.

This intranet site holds lots of useful information on the award at Wellington. For more general information go to the DofE charity website
http://www.dofe.org/.
If you have further questions or are interested in taking part next year, Mr Attenborough (
BTA) can be emailed or found in the Design and Technology Department.
