Tonight, watching Othello, was one of those nights that made us all so very incredibly proud to be part of the Wellington Community. Please could I kindly ask you to pass on our sincere appreciation to all of the cast, front of stage and behind stage for the most fantastic professional performance of Othello. Shaun and I will be talking of this night for many years to come.
My only disappointment is that I can not see it again, I would have dearly loved to.
SIMPLY BRILLIANT
Clare
There has been a great deal of talk around house about Othello and what a stunning performance it is. Powerful has to be the most definitive word for this performance I feel, and the students recognise they have witnessed a truly dramatic production. I looked around last night at one point at the rapt attention on each and every face in the audience. All involved must be exceptionally proud of their performances and everything they have achieved. There is no further need to advertise the play; those that have seen it will do it for you.
Judy
I thought Othello was fantastic. There were some stunning performances, and the production was superb.

Thanks Sarah, and I did mean to put in my e-mail, (but I wrote it a bit late last night), that I thought the music was also absolutely brilliant, and captured the mood perfectly. A wonderful production all round I loved it!!....Billy Elliot next, I can't wait!!
All the best,
Marian
Hugely enjoyable and moving production of Othello. A tour de force. Many congratulations to everyone involved.
Best wishes,

I just wanted to thank you for the most fantastic evening of theatre.
I, like everyone else was totally enthralled and bowled over by the production. It worked beautifully performing in the round and the simplicity meant that the words and performances were incredibly powerful. There were many superb performances and the amount of work that had gone into it was very apparent.
Many thanks and congratulations too to all your team.

Could you please forward my congratulations onto your Othello cast. Mrs Allpress and I very much enjoyed the performance. It was dynamic, unique and conveyed the essence of the story in a way that would have been comprehendible to anyone, whatever their first language. There were some very interesting characterisations, and a cast who worked effectively as a team to achieve a confident and smooth performance.
Well done to everyone, all your hard effort really paid off and I am so glad you had a great time on tour. Enjoy your last few days and cherish the memories of your Othello odyssey : it will be a great story to tell!
Katie Hamilton
Thank you for a very absorbing evening. Othello was well staged and acted and was performed with an intensity and passion that is a credit to your cast. The simple set worked well and the music was particularly effective, giving the story an extra depth.
Well done to all involved.

Dear Ms Spencer
We watched Othello last night, which we thought was absolutely fantastic - thank you so much for such an inspiring production.
A superb performance in which the Third Form (on a very busy Monday) were enthralled. One girl left almost in tears that last scene was so emotional sir but still managing a big smile.
Thank you Anthony and the cast and crew a great start to the term.

I just wanted to say a big thank you for the seats I and my little group of friends had at Billy Elliot last night. I think they were the best seats in the house and I am so glad I booked early.
The show was amazing. My friends (not connected with Wellington) were astounded at the quality of the the performance. I don't know how Wellington can keep improving on excellent, but they do.
And how wonderful to have so many pupils from Eagle House involved. Will Kirk as Billy was unbelievable. Such a good voice, actor, and now with dancing to add to his talents, and the high wire work! - that is not easy to do at all. I know it requires a lot more skill than it looks.
All in all a wonderful evening and spectacular performance, even better because of the perfect seats. So thank you very much.
With Wellington performances on my doorstep, who needs the West End?
Congratulations on the amazing production of Billy Elliot. An outstanding show - just like being in the West End!
The cast were absolutely fantastic and had so much fun along the way and I'm sure will have fond memories for the rest of their lives. Your hard work and dedication really paid off. Well done and thank you.
Dear Sarah and Pandy
I just wanted to express our sincere thanks to you for putting on such a wonderful musical spectacular, your hard work and total dedication really paid off, it was truly a fantastic production.
Good luck Pandy, thanks for all your help with 'Angels productions' we will miss you in November as I know College will, hope you both have a relaxing well deserved summer break
With thanks to the entire team, front and back!
Huge congratulations to you all for the outstanding production of Billy Elliot - we are endlessly in awe of the huge talent within the school - and it's hugely exciting to see the talent that is on its' way via Eagle House.
Thank you for an extremely enjoyable evening.
Hi Sarah
I have to write and say how much I enjoyed last night’s performance of Billy Elliot. I have seen it in the West End but have to say that last night made me laugh and cry equally as much and we all just loved it. You must have worked so hard, and I’m sure you’re ready to collapse – I just wanted to say it was absolutely brilliant, thank you!
Drama at Wellington and Eagle House just gets better and better and we are filled with admiration for everything that the drama and dance department get out of the pupils and for what the pupils and staff manage to fit into a very busy timetable.
There was not a weak moment last night - there was always something going on. The quality of singing, acting, dance and those Geordie accents were all fantastic. We have seen the London production twice and honestly this was every bit as good.
I loved the fact that the two schools joined forces for this venture - and a perfect production with which to do this.
Please pass on our congratulations to all concerned. It really was an outstanding production. I should think there are one or two exhausted young people tonight
Just wanted to tell you how much I enjoyed the show last night, it was a true West End production.
The time, energy and commitment put in by the cast and production teams must have been enormous - and it showed.
So well acted I cried, along with everyone else in the audience. Billy and Michael characters were amazing and the rapport between Billy & his Dad exceptional. All the cast thoroughly deserved the standing ovation they received.
I think one of the most telling things was there were 3 Welly boys in front of me, who I think were there because it was the thing to do, but within a very short time were all on the edge of their seats mesmerised, and did not move for the rest of the performance!
Please pass on my praise and thanks to all, we are very lucky to have such a wonderfully active theatre department.
Sarah
After seeing “Billy” last night I felt I had to write to tell you how much I enjoyed the show.
I could not believe I was watching a school production – it was so professional I thought I was in theatre land.
Please pass on my congratulations and thanks to all who were involved – especially young Billy who needs to replace my 3 tear sodden tissues, and the Dad who I thought made the role so utterly credible.
How did you get them all to talk from t’north?
Thank you so much for a real treat!
Dear Ney, Sarah & Xav,
Can I just say (on behalf of Phil and myself) how totally blown away we were last night by the pupil performances in Billy Elliot. It was unbelievably incredible and had me smiling, toe tapping and even shedding the odd tear at times. How you can create such magic is not only a huge credit to yourselves but moreover the hours of hard work and clear enjoyment of the pupils.
I always find it even more incredulous as the pupils we have here are talented in so many different ways be it in the arts, sports or academically.
Please do tell all of the cast and crew (lest never to forget them just because they are not on stage in lights) how fabbo we thought the play was and well, if there are any more tickets we would LOVE to come again.
Muchos respect and love.
Dear Sarah
I thought Billy Elliot was jaw droppingly brilliant. Well done to you and your cast!
Best wishes
Laurence
Dear Sarah, Xavier, Pandy and Lynne
I thought last night was quite fantastic. More importantly so did the audience; they were totally entranced from the start and the standing ovation at the end was not a surprise. To have achieved this with so much else going on does you, the performers, crew and musicians great credit.
Well done
Robin
Sarah
Just to say that was a wonderful evening just enjoyed.
Please pass on to everyone.
Astonishing.
Dear Sarah, Lynne and Pandy
I just wanted to say how fantastic the show was last night. Really, really brilliant - it was slick and funny and moving and poignant. It was a bit like watching a magic trick performed by an excellent musician - I kept thinking, 'How on earth did they do that?' Many congratulations on a wonderful opening night, and thanks to you, and all the cast, for such great entertainment.
we must send a massive congratulations for last nights performance of Billy Elliot, which was absolutely outstanding. How have the drama, music and dance team pulled off yet another fantastic Wellington production? – one to even rival Les Mis! It is a fabulous production, we just felt we had been transported to the West End. Please send huge congratulations to Sarah, Lynne, Xav, Pandy and to all the cast and back-stage for their hard work and achievement, it was so entertaining, moving and vibrant. Fabulous!
Good luck for the rest of the week.
Dear Dr Seldon, Yesterday evening I came to Wellington with my youngest son Jack and a great friend and her daughter.I knew we were in for a treat and although neither of my other two sons were involved,.looked forward to seeing their friends on stage.Nothing could have prepared me for the unbelievable production,it was fantastic and I was so proud of our school and the rapport between the wellington and Eagle House children a joy to see.My friend was blown away and dare I say I was slightly smug when I dropped her home!
Dear Abby, Annabel, Annie Rose, Callum, Cameron, Chloe, Emily, Felix, Francesca, Fred, George, Georgia, Harry, Harry, Harry, Henry, Jack, James, Josh, Julian, Katie, Lily, Martha, Max, Milo, Ming, Molly, Maisie, Nadja, Olivia, Rob, Scarlett and Tom
I would like to congratulate you on an utterly superlative production last night of Billy Elliot.
Everything about it from beginning to end was first class: the acting, the singing, the dancing, the production values, the characterisation, and the emotion. It was hugely powerful, and the audience was dazzled.
It was every bit as good as I said it would be on Sunday afternoon – and even better. It is right up there now challenging ‘Les Mis’ for the greatest musical Wellington has staged.
Do remember to tell your families that they are very welcome to come back to the Master’s Lodge for a drink after the final show on Thursday night. It would be lovely to see them all, plus any friends they have brought along to the evening.
I look forward greatly to seeing it again during the week. All the best for the next three performances.
Best wishes

Dear Sarah, Pandy and Lynné
Thank you for a brilliant show last night. It was great to see the Eagle House and Wellington pupils working so well together. I was amazed at how fantastic William was – he told me last week about how you have inspired him to continue dancing Pandy – all credit to you. I brought all the Eagle House boarders along and they were raving about the show.
Well done, I am sure that you are looking forward to a break!

Dear Sarah, V, and Rupert,
I am writing to thank you for another wonderful evening of entertainment. Your gifts lie in your ability to give young people the permission to shine. You are extraordinary, and you make them extraordinary. Thank you for a sensational show!
Best wishes,

Once again congratulations on a great production of Oliver, the songs have been going through my head all night, even woke up this morning mentally singing “reviewing the situation” all the cast were fantastic.

From Balders!
To the brilliant cast of 'Oliver',
What a fantastic show! Brilliant singing, dancing, acting - it was triple threat! I'd forgotten just how many songs were in Oliver and they were all done with aplomb. You should all be really proud of it, as you each helped bring it to life and produce a really, really good show.
Good luck for the last night,
Mr Baldwin
