Law Society
The Law Society at Wellington has been set up for those interested in law and the working of government in making new laws.
We hope to put on many interesting and stimulating lectures over the coming terms as well as workshops, moots (mock court cases) and visits from high-profile lawyers.
The ultimate aims of the society range from promoting law as a career or a university degree to simply giving people the opportunity to attend lectures and debates that will get them thinking about how the law works on our society.
All those involved in the society currently would also like to thank Mr. Geoffrey Beedham, father of a Wellington pupil and a lawyer himself, for all the time and effort he has given to prepare lectures and get this society off the ground.
In the Michaelmas Term 2010 the society elected its first committee.
