Enrichment
The Enrichment programme at Wellington is designed to develop all eight aptitudes. With over 50 clubs and societies actively meeting, every student has ample opportunity to broaden their interest- base and learn new skills. The programme is integrated into the broader curriculum with ample time dedicated to Enrichment on a Monday, Wednesday and Friday. The spectrum of activities on offer range from Noble Rot (Wine appreciation Society) for the Upper 6th to Junior Bardophile (Shakespeare reading sessions). Most activities such as Yoga, Street Theatre, Karate, Field Gun, Model United Nations, Film Society and Photography cover more than one aptitude. A strong emphasis is also placed on linking raw academic hunger with that of a broad interest base. The result is that academic clubs such as Phil-Thy (Philosophy and Theology), Law Society, Geog Soc or Classics Society attract students from outside their departments too. What is certain is that “we do not do boring at Wellington”.
The range of Clubs and Societies can be found in the Octagon of Opportunity
Further details of current clubs and societies can be found on the Masterlist, and also on the pages to the left and in other sections of the Extra-curricular section.
